Hi,

Note: Am using ubuntu 12.04

I have 2 standard user login's in my desktop with ubuntu 12.04. I need to allow the user's to change the date and time by themselves. anybody can guide me in this.

add the users to the admin group and the will be able to, it is an admin task. They will also be able to complete other admin tasks like install and remove software.

You could make a group and add the user, then add an entry in:

sudo visudo

to allow the members of the group to run the date and time commands.

Hi,

   Thanks for your reply.But I want only 2 standard users to change the date and time as the 2 different standard users are working for 2 different time zones.I can't provide them admin rights.please help.

Seems its already in, have they tried changing time on their own desktops
