Stopmotion won't run

Asked by BlueGiraffe42

I have just installed Ubuntu Studio (I am new to Linux so don't know my way around). When I tried to run Stopmotion it briefly appeared on the screen and then closed again. I had a quick search for a solution on the internet but don't really know where to start. I'm running Hardy Heron on an AMD 64-bit machine installed using the windows installer for Ubuntu.

Please launch stopmotion using terminal and check fro more errors or warning messages...
open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

stopmotion

Hope this helps

Runing it from the terminal produces the error:

Segmentation fault

I don't know whether this provides more of an insight.
