The latest version of SRT is 1.4.2. Can you please update this package.

Additionally you have to be aware that Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work), and also Debian has only version 1.4.1.
First step to bring version 1.4.2 into Ubuntu is creating a bug report in the Debian bug tracker (unless such bug already exists, I didn't check).

As far as I can see there are PPAs with version 1.4.2 available, e.g. https://launchpad.net/~savoury1/+archive/ubuntu/multimedia

Groovy is still in prerelease. I suggest you report a bug

Bug has been reported. Also Debian upgraded its package version in Sid.
