Is this service required for solid state drives?
Is it safe to disable it?

If so, how do I stop it loading.

Thanks

There is no service. The SSD still connects to SATA just like a standard Spindle based drive.

If you can blacklist the modules that make it work and sudo rmmod it/them too to get rid. I'm not sure what module that would be but if the drive is accessible, run:

lsmod | less

Read the list and websearch anything you don't recognise to see what it does.

Can you help with this problem?
