Upgrade to squid 4.x in mainline?

Hello,

I was wondering if there are any plans to bump Squid from the 3.5 branch to 4.x in cosmic/18.10, or if that's planned for a release further in the future?

I suggest you report a bug. If the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated sooner rather than later. Ubuntu is not a rolling release distribution and packages can be left in favour of stability. This is especially true in the LTS releases.

There is already a bug report available. I suggest that you indicate "affects me too", which will change the status to "confirmed".
