Does squid-deb-proxy needs a running squid3 in the background?

Asked by tom++

Hello

I try to configure squid-deb-proxy as a proxy for multiple ethx Adapters and I'm not sure where I have to change the squid-deb-proxy configuration.

Now I've noted that squid3 and squid-deb-proxy processes are running:
ls /run/squid*
/run/squid3.pid
/run/squid-deb-proxy.pid

Is that O.K.? Or should I shutdown squid3 and only keep squid-deb-proxy?

Thanks a lot for any hint in advance,
kind regards,
Tom
