Use Squid-deb-proxy at installation of new system

Asked by macice

Is it possible to get the ubuntu installer to see a squid-deb-proxy server when it is installing a new system?

There are a load of updates which get pulled in by the installer and I'd prefer it if they were fetched from my sever rather than them being downloaded at install time. For reference I uncheck both the fluendo Codec box and the Install updates box but language packs and other bits still get pulled in by Ubiquity.

I suggest you report a bug with the installer.
You could always drop to TTY2 and add lines in /etc/apt/apt.conf and so forth then keep the installer going (sneaky)

Can you help with this problem?
