cannot convert .ogg file to mp3 using soundkonverter

After using Sound Juicer to extract files from my cd. I cannot convert my ogg files to mp3 files. Suggestions, please.

Converting from one lossy format to another lossy format will degrade quality. You can do it in a terminal with:

You will need to install vorbis-tools

Should be ok. I suggest you rerip the CD to MP3 in the software in the first case, the quality will be far superior

The general advice is: Never transcode between two lossy audio formats. Due to differences in compression methods you will loose sound quality.

But since you need mp3 for your music player, I guess there isn't much choice. Unless you can get/rip original mp3-files instead of converting from vorbis.
