It literally took seconds to download. Here's how
Applications---->Add/Remove---->Sound & Video----->Sound Convertor.
You need to install 1 little application for mp3 but it takes seconds.

Hope this will help someone. I'm still an Ubuntu-virgin and am only now starting to find my way around the systems, programmes etc. I love Ubuntu and it's now a feature in our home on all 4 computers.
I've even got my husband talking about it to the guys at work and they've given me a call to find out more. I let them get a feel for Ubuntu on one of our computers. I've already given out 5 copies of Ubuntu cds.

Hi Boch

Being relatively new to Ubuntu I try and get the software in .deb-format and double-click. It should install with no problems.
I've still have problems with .tar, etc.

What type of software is it?
