Searching for a media production app

Asked by curiouser

I am trying to identify the best media production app for home use. I want to drag and drop pictures fm my files, add music, then burn to a cd/dvd, for play on my home system. There are several apps that look like they might work, including Brasero, Banshee, DeVeDe, and FreeVo. Do any of you have a favorite you would recommend

There is no best anything in life (even lif eitself is not best for some people). best is an opinion of an item compared to the needs of the individual. Not every user is identical so multiple options of a solution exists. There is no best.

That done with, You could try Kino

Devede will make a DVD for you from multiple videos (or even one) but doesnt support images, unless you make a video of the images somehow.

I think avidemux will do it too.

Banshee is a media player like winamp or windows media player so are not applicable to your scenario. Brasero will help you burn, it may be able to create a picture disk but I am unsure if you can mix media, you will need to mess with apps like kino to see what you can generate.
