intel video driver 82865g chipset

display in ver 9.10 has only two default choices, 640x480 or 800x600, monitor is samsung 205bw ... native resolution 1650x1050.
this is display is not acceptable. Thanks!

Ubuntu 9.04 provides 1364x768 immediately after installation on the intel video 82865 chipset. This is a Dell Dimension 3000. So what is wrong with 9.10?

I looked at the video cord being used for this Samsung Monitor and noticed it had 3 pins missing. This was not the original cord for the monitor. I replaced it with a cord that has all the pins and everything works now. The monitor is properly identified by Ubuntu 9.10 and all is working ok.
