i have Ubuntu 10.04 lts how am i update this in to 14.04?
Please help me.

I'd suggest a clean install. You will need to upgrade to 12.04 then to 14.04

Ubuntu 10.04 is not supported any more (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases )
There are instructions available how to upgrade an Ubuntu release that is no more supported (see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades ), but as actionparsnip already wrote:
A clean new installation probably is the better choice.
