hdmi connection to tv

Asked by Dennis Pederson on 2014-06-30

I have an hdmi port on ubuntu system but cannot configure. The port is not seen on settings. When I connect, information displays on the screen when I boot up but disappears and then I cannot continue. I am using a vga screen for normal operations and it works fine except when I plug in the hdmi to the tv.
I have loaded xbmc which seems to work on vga but only the tv is HD so I need the tv to be a display port or output choice.

p.s. there was an error in this thread and I have received no further communication. Is this question still alive???

PCI (sysfs)

Thanks for your prompt reply

Give it time. Your PCI bus is slow.
