The password you need, is the one you set, when you installed Ubuntu. The site below will tell how to reset the password.

http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/resetpassword

Does this happen on any other software downloads?

I've definitely typed in every password i have and nothing has worked. I'm
new at this so I'll probably wait until I have my computer wiz of a friend
to translate those directions that link suggest. Thanks for that info tho.

Essentially the same method as given by michael but you may find it easier to follow.

Can you help with this problem?
