work and save on USB

i start ubuntu from USB and i wish to save my works on it. is it possible? means i want to have a mobile OS. how can i do it? thanks.

You can install to the USB like a normal drive if you want. You can even use unetbootin to make a persistant install which assigns some space to manage changes in the OS.
