Please read this:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

Ubuntu 11.10 is end-of-life and not supported anymore.

Please install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS which is supported until April 2017.

Here is more info about using Ubuntu:

I recommend a clean install of Precise or Saucy. Precise is LTS and supported til April 2017. You can also upgrade to Trusty in April 2014 directly as it is also LTS and LTS to LTS upgrades are supported.

Saucy is the latest release but will also allow you to upgrade directly to Trusty as it is the next release.

Can you help with this problem?
