Karmic is no longer supported in any way. I suggest a clean install of Precise which is LTS and supported til April 2017. There is no community support and zero packages for the Ubuntu release you have

After you have installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, you can install Google Chrome using this procedure:

The Adobe Flash player is included in Google Chrome.
