NO me funciona el teclado numerico en ubuntu desktop 10.04

Esto es raro, me dejo de funcionar el teclado numerico del teclado, cambie por otro teclado y me pasa lo mismo, incluso tomo el equipo en forma remota y pasa lo mismo, el resto del teclado funciona bien.

que puede ser , alguno le paso , como lo soluciono ?
