lubuntu 12 10 softaware updater:Failed to download repository information

Installed 12 10 and tried to update.Among other things I also tried myunity desktop enviornment:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:myunity/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install myunity
But now I am not able to update through software updater .I get the following error message.I am using intel pentium 4 d845 gvsr desktop board.

W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/myunity/ppa/ubuntu/dists/quantal/main/source/Sources 404 Not Found
, W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/myunity/ppa/ubuntu/dists/quantal/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

ppa.launchpad.net/myunity/ppa/ubuntu/dists/

PPA doesn't support your release. I suggest you remove it. If you start adding third party package sources, don't be surprised if you get issues. Not all PPAs support all releases.
