Turbotax is Windows software so won't run natively in Linux.

It may run with Wine but not perfectly.
For Notes on how it runs see here:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=623

You can find Wine in the software centre.

You may also want to take a look at GnuCash
http://www.gnucash.org/

Its a general accounting package for personal/small business use and in available in the software centre.

+1 for gnucash. If the application is crucial you could virtualize Windows in virtualbox and run it there. This will require a valid licence and install media.

Please read this alternative procedure:

http://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/?view=mobile

You can install and use Snaptax on your Android device or install TurboTax for iPad, if you have an ipad.

TurboTax also offers a web based product. I ran it in Firefox on Linux with no problems last year.

Can you help with this problem?
