Packages with wrong category in Software Centre

Asked by Pierre-André Leclair

Hello,

I noticed that quite a few packages aren't sorted in the proper category they should be in.

For example, Rochard, Space Pirate and Zombies, and many other games are put into System, instead of Games.

This also affect the menu category in Unity as well. When applying a game filter to the applications, you only see those sorted out with the Games tag, therefore those mentionned above and others aren't showing.

When looking in the software centre, under installed applications, the same applies. You don't find them under Games but under System.

Can you guys fix those issues? It's like the software centre is getting out of control. Seems like most of the problematic packages are the paid ones.... the quality of the free packages seems often better. You guys let the software devs make the packages themselves or you do it for them?

Might be a good idea to do them all by yourselves if thats the case...

also why some paid packages are typed in full uppercase text? Is it because the dev thought they would get more visibility? It's annoying at best. Again, this mostly applies to paid packages...

Please, keep up the store in good shape. It's needed if Ubuntu is to prosper..
