Is there a scientific calculator available for Ubuntu, i.e. one where trig functions such as tangent, sine, cosign etc. can be used?

I would like to be able to do simple trig function, such as Tan y degrees times length x equals ?

calculator is installed by default (type calculator in dash).
If not you can find it in the ubuntu software center.
Via its menu you can configure it (as in windows) for
basic, advanced, financial or programming purpose.

i love galculator since i usually use Reverse Polish Notiation (like my hp old scientific calculator)

galculator is in Lubuntu so if its not installed by default it will be in the software centre.
