Fluendo DVD player worked 12.04 but called "Bad" in 12.10 is there a fix, and is it really "Bad" will it eat my hamster if I install it?

Asked by Joseph Gornall

Hi I bought the Fluendo DVD player a few months ago, it worked in Ubuntu 12.04 but is now called "Bad" in 12.10, after an upgrade and attempt at reinstall. Is there a fix, and is it really "Bad" will it eat my hamster if I install it? The word Bad put me off reinstalling it incase of a change between 12-05 and 12-10 (both 32 bit) that might make everything unstable.
I would like to reinstall it, any ideas how to fix?
Many Thanks,
Joseph

Its 'bad' because it's closed source. Nothing more.
