"requested clipboard format is not available"

Asked by Patrick Tobin

As of today I am unable to copy the output from Google Translate to the clipboard for pasting to LibreOffice 3.5 or any other program for that matter. No changes that I know of have been made other than the usual updates. The clipboard seems to work properly for everything else. The above error message comes up only when I try to copy the translated output from the web page. I have reinstalled Fierfox and no change. I regularly use ClamTk so I should be able to rule out virus interference. I have to manually copy the output via the keyboard to keep working. Google is not too terribly much help but there seems to be no limit to how much text can be translated. I have never heard of a "clipboard format" so the error message doesn't make awhole lot of sense at this point. What to do next?

Install and run parcellite and you'll be fine
