Ubuntu software Centre

Asked by David Grimshaw

Trying to install Seamonkey so I can use the composer part of the program for webpage Authoring as this is as close to Dreamweaver that I can get in Linux.

Ubuntu Software Centre shows Seamonkey in the list of software however when "more info' is click the following shows;
 "Not found" " There isn’t a software package called “seamonkey” in your current software sources."

How can I fix this situation and is there a work around that will get the icon onto the desktop at lest.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The package SeaMonkey has been removed from the Ubuntu 12.04

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/seamonkey/+bug/987713

If you want to work with SeaMonkey , you can download it from here:
http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/

Then right click an "extract here" and then open a terminal and connect to the SeaMonkey's folder and run the binary.

cd Downloads/seamonkey/

./seamonkey

Thanks
