how to open .chm files

i am a medical student and not too much adept into the cores of computing.. most of the ebooks that r downloaded come in a format of .chm file that s easily runnable on windows. i have recently changed to ubuntu from windows, but i cant find any software to run the particular file on ubuntu 12.04 even aftr online search. can anyone please help....

Most people seem to be happy with xchm
sudo apt-get install xchm

To find other viewers
 apt-cache search chm viewer
