how do i get to windows 7 with the virtual box

once ive downloaded the virtual box application, how do i get to the windows 7 o.s. there are no instructions. Im not familiar with the linux o.s

Virtual box doesn't give you any operating systems at all. You have to install the Windows version you want to use from Virtual Box.

You will need to buy a copy of Windows7 to install. Its quite cheap and there are plenty of stockists online or in the highstreet.

You can download a 30-day trial version for free. After the trial period you must pay to activate. There are numerous places on the net where you can download. Here is just one link.

Since you are installing to Virtual Box you do not have to burn the ISO to DVD. You can mount the ISO in VirtualBox's virtual DVD-ROM.
