Why newly installed software is not present in Ubuntu Software Center?

I have just downloaded NetBeans 7.1 from netbeans.org, installed it... now I need to remove it... how? its now not displayed in Ubuntu Soft Center.

I have downloaded *.sh from http://netbeans.org/downloads/index.html and installed.
