download itunes

I got an ipad and cannot download itunes. I tried to do it on my laptop but it won't work. It says to get rid of 'autorun'?

iTunes doesn't run in Wine. You will need a full virtualbox with Windows installed (or a dual boot) to support your device. Apple stuff only runs that way so you need to make these massive concessions to support your crappy tablet. If you'd bought something which doesn't rely on itunes and is more open in support, you wouldn't have this issue.

Hi Carol,

Unfortunately, from a technical viewpoint, Apple itunes is not available for platforms other than IOS, OSX and windows. You would probably be best off contacting apple for assistance with why their software is not working on your tablet - it should work.

Thanks mycae! I will call Apple.

The reason we got an ipad is, my husband has never used a computer and we thought we would try it (he is 70). He is now doing great - it is very user friendly.
