Use Ubuntu One to store config and app data

More a suggestion than a question i guess. With Ubuntu One offering a single sign in, can this be used to store a current configuration with software sources and installed applications? This would make fresh installing easier and quicker if all your settings were "one click away" from having your old set-up, whether it be for reinstalls or distribution upgrades, I would find this a god send, similar to Firefox Sync (realistically I acknowledge this may be something no one else will use but I think there would be enough call for it so figure I'd ask/suggest).
