I have installed Ubuntu 11.10 server 64 bit as a virtual machine, using Virtual Box, on my laptop.
I have already gotten past many of the issues.
I want to install the GUI tools for MySQL (MySQL Administrator and MySQL Query Browser).
Ubuntu Software center finds the packages but I get the error "Failed to download package files" asking me to "Check your Internet connection".
The Internet connection is working with no issues.
I found a link that told me the procedure for getting answers and followed it.
