Can you give a link to the file, can you also give the output of:

Is there a possibility to install wine and run the QQ windows program directly?
There seem to be some problems when I do that.

It seems that Wine 1.2.2 is the problem.

My Update Manager in Ubuntu 11.04 doesn't work.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get --purge remove wine; sudo apt-get -y install wine1.3

If that doesn't make it work, you can always download the DDLs and put them in ~/.wine/drive_c/System32

I have upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10 now.

I have installed Wine 1.3.28 but encounter the same problems.
I suspect it could be a dependency problem as an associated package needs to be installed.

You could try slinging them in system32 folder as I said above, may satisfy it.
