English version of the French program "Screencastor"?

I am interested in screencasting and have been variously using Xvidcap, FFMPEG in a terminal, Istanbul, etc. to make YouTube How To videos about Ubuntu ("Ubuntu Basics"). By far, the best, clearest, most reliable is FFMPEG. Unfortunately, it requires intense compiling, then can only be run in a terminal. There is a new program in French "Screencastor" which looks like a very good GUI, but is not in the Ubuntu Software Center. It has a discussion page in French only. The installed GUI stalls out and is not responsive. This program (from the looks of it) appears to be one of the best things ever written. Is there anyone out there who is a French-and-English speaker who might be interested in helping to obtain this program in English for the Ubuntu Software Center? Merci.
