I am new to Ubuntu Server Software. Please I want to know if I can install additional custom-made application software in ubuntu server.

I have video streaming server application to install on ubuntu server, is it possible, if yes how?

3rdEYE Video Streaming Server Application, it is a customized software it is not available in the market. But can RUN on linux OS.

You'll have to contact the developer of the custom software, as that is the only person who can likely provide support. But I see no reason why you could not run it. Why don't you try it and see? I am assuming you already have a license to use the software (since it is custom software, presumably made just for the needs of you or your company), and there is no purchase cost and very little time cost associated with setting up a testing installation of Ubuntu Server.

yes I received the license, though, I am yet to received the Video Streaming Server (VSS) Application itself. but I was ask by the developer to setup a Linux server OS for the application with Static public IP and make it a domain controller too and that I must installed PHP and MySQL server on the Linux server. when this is done he will then send me the VSS application to install.

But I am new to Ubuntu, I don't know where to start. I only mastered windows servers application, but based on the fact of easy crashing the developer recommend Linux Server OS and based on my researched, the ubuntu seems to be the best of other Linux distributions at-least in-terms of support.

You can do all that with Ubuntu, yes.

If you need help beyond what is provided in the documentation for settings those things up, please feel free to post new questions about each topic with which you want assistance. Setting up a static is a separate topic from making the machine a domain controller, and both are separate topics from setting up PHP and MySQL (but you can probably treat setting up PHP and MySQL as the same topic). It would be best if, when asking questions, you ask something more specific than, "How do I set up PHP and MySQL on Ubuntu Server?" because if you ask that then the answer you get will probably just be a link to the relevant part of the documentation.
