Error when try to install software with Software Center

Asked by Gerard Derksen

When I use 10.04, and I try to install programs using the Software Centre I get the message "This (program name) has security issues and cannot be installed.
As a result of this message I've tried a number of programs(all seem harmless enough "after reading their accompanying notes" but I continue to get this message and cannot install any of these programs in the Ubuntu software centre, Is it possible there's a bug in the pc?

Please do this:
1. Open a terminal by hitting CTRL + ALT + T
2. Insert this command:
cat /etc/apt/sources.list -n

than copy and paste here the result.

3. Try to install the 'xmoto' game with software center, if this goes wrong, try to install the same software by terminal, with this command:
sudo apt-get install xmoto

than copy and paste here the result.

Thanks Enrico

Steps 1,2&3 failed , but I could install it using the terminal and also via the Synaptic Package Manager.

Sorry I wasn't able to copy and paste the results from the terminal or the software center across to the email or this web page
