Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug. There is also a vibrant support community available at http://askubuntu.com and you might consider asking your question there.

It's not clear from this what the problem is, and we would need more information in order to help you. What error messages do you get when you try to install an application? Is your system fully updated?

What happens when you try to update the system through the command line? Try the command:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Do you get any error messages when you do this?

If this works without any errors what happens when you try to install a package through the command line:

sudo apt-get install <package name>

For example try to install gkrellm, a small system monitor:

sudo apt-get install gkrellm

You can remove the gkrellm package with:

sudo apt-get remove gkrellm

and then try to install it with the package manager and see if works.

Muchas gracias, problema resuelto, no podia realizar ningun tipo de descargas desde el centro de actualización de ubuntu, sin embargo, actualice todos los paquetes con el gestor de actualización del sistema y problema solucionado. Muchas gracias a Chris y Pedro. Sus comentarios fueron muy útiles, ya se que para próximas eventualidades, deberé suministrar mayor información.
