Paid apps missing

Asked by Carl Ansell

The paid apps section in my software centre is empty. Searching for games I know exist in the paid section comes up with no results, and I am therefore unable to buy anything from this section.

This has only started recently, as the apps used to be available. I have also noticed the 'installed apps' section is no longer in order and does not display all software, could this also be related to the issue?

Ubuntu 11.04
Software Centre 4.0.5

Please let us know the repositories you have enabled?

I have main, universe, restricted and multiverse from the Ubuntu section.

Additional ppas I have are:
Ubuntu Tweak Stable + Testing
elementarydesktop
Unity Music Lens
Opera Official & Beta
Canonical Partners
Ubuntu One Extras
GIMP PPA
Lightdm-team PPA
Weather Indicator PPA

The only recent change I have made is Lightdm-team, and that was only a few hours ago and after the problem started.

And for updates, I have natty-security, natty-updates and natty-proposed enabled.

Thank you for giving more info.
Here's an workout -
1. Try removing the softwares that you installed from the LightDM PPA
2. Remove the PPA from the softwares list
3. Then try rebooting the system (GDM will replace the Login Screen)
4. After rebooting the system refresh the repositories again
5. See if the problem persists and report accordingly
And also see this: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LightDM

Thanks for the reply :)

I got rid of LightDM. Didn't like it anyway, I was hoping the new themed version was available in Natty, but it seems it isn't.

It was in this state before I installed LightDM, and unfortunately didn't solve the issue.

Should I file a bug report instead, or do you think this is just due to the way my PC is set up?

I have now installed Oneiric and so the question is no longer valid.
