If yes, you have to install screenlets. For do it open Ubuntu Software Center, search for 'Screenlets' and install it.

There is no best anything, there are options but none are outright best..

You can install gdesklets in software centre then use some from the default install, or download some from (among other sites):
http://www.gdesklets.info/archive/

Friend i get that there is no such thing as best. Actually over here i was looking for view of you guys.....what you feel is better than the rest you guys have used so that i dont waste time and my internet bill on downloading unnecessary stuff...thats all...

Yes Enrico i mean that stuff.....i know three super karamba, gdesklets, and screenlets....of which, what will you prefer on you OS (oh and please dont forget to mention your OS)

I don't use any screenlet or widget etc.
I use Ubuntu 11.04, and if I must use a screenlet etc. I'll probably choose for Screenlets and/or conky.
Conky is more customizable, I like it so much!

ohhh kkkk.....after ya review got up and installed conky using sudo apt-get install conky-all then had to run it through terminal using cmd CONKY .....

but thats not the problem .....i think i got to configure this thing according to my system requirment cause it makes my cario dock and its effects buggy....also the windows that i open are too effected.....

you know any easy way to use and configure this conky ? Is there any graphical interface available to setup the conky like other programmes ?

Also am using compzip with cube effect, 4 diffrent desktop with diffrent wallpapers and many more such effects already working......i have removed unity and have Cario dock instead ...........willl this conky still work with my existing settings ??
