How to load a different version of "flashplayer plugin"?

Asked by Toby Reeves

I have had an incredible amount of trouble with Flashplayers crashing on me every two seconds, to the point of me screaming at the computer. I just discovered that, because I'm using "Google Chrome",and have"Chromin" as my web browser,I needed to change my flashplayer version. So, I downloaded "flashplayer_10_plugin_debug.tar.gz". I disabled the current flashplayer, but I can't figure out how to load up the other one! And,F.Y.I., when ever things crash. It says,"Awe,Snap" and telles me that "Shockwave flashplayer" crashed. But,I just saw that "Shockwave" isn't even enabled. Now my head hurts because I'm confused as hell. Please, please, please help me. I just would like to watch some Tosh.0, and some music videos.

Try this. Install this addon for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/flash-aid/

It's developed by an Ubuntu member.

This will take care of any conflicts you have with other flash drivers, proprietary or not.

Then with Google's flash disabled it should pick up on the new flash player the add on installs.

Have fun watching Tosh.0, that dude is pretty funny :)

Can you help with this problem?
