Not able to install softwares from Ubuntu 11.04 software centre

I tried to install software from Ubuntu 11.04 Software center but I could not.
Please help me.I am a beginner.
I tried some commands....

You need an internet connection when you execute the package manager troubleshooting procedure.

Please make sure that your internet connection is working and try again.
