installed flash player and can not find it where it. it is not under the listing of sound and music

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | grep flash; dpkg -l | grep gnash; dpkg -l | grep swf

It is not an actual media player, but a browser plugin. For best experience with Flash, I suggest Flash-Aid extension: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1491268
