Fortunately for you linux-ubuntu knows the word "Virus" contrary to windows.
therefore not of anti-virus nor performance ect.

To answer your question of whether there are any virus scanners available, go to the ubuntu-software-centre, search for 'virus scanner' and you can choose from those listed.

maybe you can use clamav. Usually you doesn't need antivirus in linux
but you can use that to scan your windows partition.
you can install that antivirus using this command:

 sudo apt-get install clamav
