I can't download programs

Asked by Austin Richey

When I try to get programs from Ubuntu Software Center it says "Can't download package files" but I have internet. I've tried to reboot the computer, restart our modem, and reconnect to the internet but it still won't work

actionparsnip: It's able to do some but I also got "E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead."
Ian Scott: I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "Does Firefox work?" so my answer to you might change

OK. Never Mind My Previous Comment. It just started working. But be on standby for it stopping working

Can you browse the internet fine? What is the full output of "sudo apt-get update"? Not just the error.
