install a good dvd writing software

brasero is creating a lot of problems

my discs are getting damaged using brasero as the software is creating an error while wring is in procedure

no problems in writer

cd writer working fine in windows xp using cyberlink

gnomebaker or xfburn are my recommendations. Cyberlink isn't a software, it is a manufacturer.the product is (probably) called power2go. This is exactly the same as you cannot install Microsoft, but you can install Microsoft Office.

xfburn can write files only when present in filesystem and not from other drives

copy the files to your desktop and burn from there....
