Is there a crossword create program in linux?

I have been using ubuntu linux for about a year now and the only thing that I cannot do on linux that I used to do in windows, is to create crossword puzzles. I cannot find a program supported in linux to solve this hitch.

For crosswordpuzzle,

After you have download the file, extract it:
$ tar zxvf crosswordpuzzle-1.0rc1.tar.gz
$ cd crosswordpuzzle-1.0rc1.tar.gz

Please read the README file in there. You will know how to install it...
