From software centre trying to install l playonlinux.
message
 fails trying to find
 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/w/wine1.2/ttf-symbol-replacement_1.2.1-0ubuntu1_all.deb 404
 because of internet connection
but internet connection OK

404 means that the webpage does not exists.

Retry changing the repository server please set it to main server, from update manager settings
