Enable the partner repo in software centre and you can install it in the normal way.

This is installed. Still not installing Google Earth.

If you run the app from terminal, what is output?

type goo

then press TAB, it will autocomplete.

You can also try:

cd ~; wget https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/direct/google-earth-stable_current_i386.deb; sudo dpkg -i ./google-earth-stable_current_i386.deb; rm ./google-earth-stable_current_i386.deb

Will install the package
