Running Googleearth in 10.10 help needed

I have finally created a *.deb package for Googleearth in 10.10. It shows installed in Ubuntu Software Center. It is listed in Applications>Internet>Googleearth. When I click on the icon, nothing happens. Suggestions?

try restarting your computer. some programs don't seem to work until you do a restart.

launch the app from a terminal, what is output?
