how to install limewire on ubuntu 10.10

just installed ubuntu 10.10 and was trying to install limewire. i have downloaded the limewirelinux.deb. but then cannot install using archive manager. often used this when i was on ubuntu 10.04 but now it does not work.
please help me

if you install it using terminal using:

dpkg -i /path/to/file.deb

obviously change the file path and name to the ACTUAL file, what is output?

it was in the local papers a couple of days ago that the RIAA was successful in shutting down limewire, so they don't exist anymore. the software might be useless now.

Yes but the gnutella network which Limewire used is decentralized so the activities of its users may continue. Obviously Canonical and Ubuntu do not condone piracy but the software can be used for legal means too.

Sure, but the gnutella network is decentralized so the activities can still continue. The fact that the limewire client has been discontinued does nothing at all
