hallo mr mrs actionparsnip, I did just what you told me, but the thing is not resolved, I can still contact to Software Cantre, but not remove or install, clicking there does not give any reaction, in the Kpackage, the reply is shorter and now says :you have failed to provide correct authentication please check any passwords or account settings..... and going to the detail only says now : failed to obtain authentication,
thank you so much

Hallo Mr Mrs
When running the first command I get lots ending with :
W: Failed to fetch http://
W: Failed to fetch http://
E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
After running the second command you gave me I get :

connecting to the programs through Softw Centre or Kpackage is possible, but getting programs or removing programs is not, I'm not asked to provide a key and in the Kpackage response I get :
failed to get authentication - where should I start to solve this ? - and as a second question I was wondering if I could not better just reinstall 10.10 altogether and if so how should I be doing this ?

can anyone help me with this ? I'M STILL ON ABOUT THE SAME QUESTION, when I go to the upgrade Manager I get the following, so something is badly wrong
W:GPG error: http://
, W:Failed to fetch http://
, E:Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
perhaps I could just reinstall my whole 10.10 and if so, how do I do it from the net
